The St. Brendan’s Trailhead begins near the playground in St. Lunaire-Griquet which is just past the Daily Catch Restaurant. You can park your vehicle at the playground lot.
This is a short 1 KM return trail, but it’s up, up and up the hill until you reach the top. There’s a decision point at the top where you can continue on a trail of Dog Head Peninsula where the mysterious St. Brendan’s Rock is located.
The trail now follows a road, which is also gated to provide access to the newly installed cellular service tower. At the top you get panoramic views of St. Lunaire-Griquet and capture images of iceberg giants (in season).
Another short trail that is part of the multi-day iceberg trail. For more than 80 trails on the Great Northern Peninsula visit here.
