Dog lovers and dirt bike users appeared to love this 10 KM trail when I had taken it for the first time. I’ve trekked many other trails in and around Pippy Park but this one was my first.
There were some steady inclines and declines and options to connect to larger loops or take a route along the power lines. There is a vast network of trails, so you may wish to use a trail app or map to ensure you follow your intended route and get back to your vehicle.
The trail have some water features but mostly differing types of trees, a mix of foot paths, some flora and even an old wrecked vehicle left to further decay.
I had a great conversation with a gentleman who had roots from the Great Northern Peninsula as he continues to train and complete his great canoeing adventure across Canada’s fur trading route. It is amazing the people you meet by change, the connection you may have and the wonderful story they have to share.
