Visiting Salmonier Nature Park

Caribou

The Salmonier Nature Park is located on the Salmonier Line (Route 90) and is 12 km south of the Trans Canada Highway (Route 1) on the Avalon Peninsula.

The entry to the park is free. A 3 KM boardwalk will take about one hour to complete. A major benefit of this trail is there is a boardwalk on the entire trail making Salmonier Nature Park wheelchair and stroller friendly.

We took my two nephews and used a stroller. They really enjoyed seeing all the animals from caribou to owls to geese, eagles and more.

This is a great place for all to learn more about nature, the environment and further education regarding wildlife. It was certainly memorable for my little nephews. I look forward to visiting again in the future.
