The Man in the Mountain Trail

The Riverside Drive Extension is where you can find the parking area to begin a section of the International Appalachian Trail that is known as the Man in the Mountain Trail and can continue to the Humber Valley Trail.

At the very top you get wonderful views of the river below. There’s a new trail cut that enables a loop and it was ribboned off when we make the trek down.

Despite the fog, this hike was really nice, but is more challenging going up due to incline.

The 5 KM trail has more than 350m in elevation. You can enjoy a lake, nature and an abundance of scenic views of the valley below.

I look forward to exploring more of the Humber Valley on future hikes.

  1. Awesome hike! Me and my friend went up it last fall, we weren’t expecting the second part to be so steep but it is a beautiful trail!
