It’s important to support our social enterprises and not-profits as they certainly need visitors to continue to provide the experiences to visitors for many years to come. I highly recommend visiting the Norstead Viking Village and Port of Trade. They offer a very unique Viking experience that differs from the Parks Canada World UNESCO site.
It’s a great place to spend hours exploring and interacting with the village Vikings, who stay completely in character.
A boardwalk will take you down to the boathouse and get your up close view of the Snorri. A ship that sailed from Greenland during the millennia celebrations. You can continue the trial around the Norstead village and along the shore. You may also decide to take Lacey’s trail to Round Head and find the one-eyed sea monster for yourself.
