Woody Point has a resident population of under 300, that swells to tens of thousands of visitors during the tourism season. They have fantastic businesses and accommodations in the community and you’ll enjoy walking their downtown waterfront district.
There’s a pull-off and view area as you take the turn to head to Trout River and the home of the famous Tablelands, which is a World UNESCO site.
It’s a small town with a big offering. If you can make the Writer’s Festival at Woody Point in August, it’s the season highlight. There’s theatre and many events that unfold in Woody Point. You can also take the water taxi as well to Norris Point for more Gros Morne experiences.
My destination for the day was Trout River. Bring on those Tablelands!
