Colours in Cavendish, Newfoundland

Colourful Sheds at Cavendish

Take a walk along Cavendish Point Trail on Route 80, nestled between Whiteway and Heart’s Delight. These sheds captured fame in 2016 as they were the cover of the provincial tourism guide and highlighted in the advertisements of the Colours campaign. Since that time, a church has been added with a door depicting the Newfoundland flag.

There is a walking trail along the shoreline that takes you to the lighthouse along some grassy fields. A short 1.8 km return will have you passing wharves and enjoying the sea views before you step up and take a forested trail.

Nothing Soothes the Soul… Like a Walk on the Beach

There are beautiful red rocks that can be seen hear and along the coastline. The Northern, Western and Willie’s Walking Trail have them too!

There is beauty all around our shores and Cavendish is a place to visit when travelling the scenic Route 80 highway.
